I used to run a 1 Slot in my Jamma cabinet. That was Jamma with 2 speakers, wired for what I believe is Mono.
I recently got a 4 Slot PCB, which I understand is not Jamma.
I was going to create an adapter (modify a jamma harness) to run the 4 Slot PCB in the Jamma Cabinet.
Changes:
Female edge connector side
-Move 'Audio Ground' wire from Pin M -> Pin 27
-Move 'Test Switch' wire from Pin 15 -> Pin M
-Add wires at Pin d & 27 for the Select Down/Up Button
So it seems these are the only changes to the Jamma harness I need to make?
As for the speakers themselves. I'm confused about the stereo stuff. I seems I need to rewire my 2 speakers for stereo use.
Once I do that, will I be able to play Jamma PCBs on a Jamma Harness in that cabinet? I would use a jamma switcher, Neo Geo Harness on one of the switcher slots & a Jamma Harness on another another switcher slot. I am worried about some unwanted grounding loops frying the Jamma PCB.
I imagine I will need an Jamma PCB -> MVS Harness adapter once I rewire the speakers for stereo?
Anyone try this Stereo <-> Mono speaker switcher setup?

Hi guys, I just picked up an MVSU4, my first neo cab. I'm not sure if I'm just an idiot or if there is a problem with my board. I fixed a sound issue, but the game select button does not work. I don't have a credit button so I play games on freeplay. If I boot up the game in freeplay mode, is the game select button disabled? I thought you could just turn the machine on, and press select game while it is in attract mode, correct?

I checked continuity and it seems fine, but just in case I jumped pins 26 and d, select up and select down to ground with no effect in freeplay mode. Any ideas where to look elsewhere? Right now I have to wait for the demo mode to switch over to the game I want to play.

edit: Also on the bottom board there is are pins for different harnesses labelled 1P, 2P and EL. I only have a harness that fits 1p or 2p so I have it plugged into 1p, but what are they?
